Nortada / North Winds

Fotos do litoral. / Sea coast photos.

Like the wind, life has its periods of breeze, wind and storms.
Nortada

Umas vezes, o vento sopra a nosso favor...

(WILLIAM GEORGE WARD, 1812 - 1882)

Grandes pensamentos.
Poucas palavras.
E uma foto sugestiva...

Nortada, so is called this boat, in strong and cheerful colors, ready to defy the sea, whose picture I had the opportunity to take, for some time now, at a popular fishing village of our country.

Nortada, is also so-called the cold wind that blows from the North and Northwest, always so present on the Portuguese coast, as throughout the European West coast.
Nortada, it means North Winds.

Like the wind that changes from direction and strength, life has, also, its periods of breeze, wind and storms.

Sometimes, the wind is in our favor...
Other times, it takes us where we don't want to go...
Sometimes, it pushes us to the discovery of wonderful new places, by chance...
And at times, simply force us to stop and wait, until the winds cease and the storm ends...

On which side is the wind today?
And where does it lead us?

"The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails." (WILLIAM GEORGE WARD, 1812 - 1882)

Few words.
Great thoughts.
And a suggestive photo...
