Habemus Papam

Fotos de edifícios e monumentos. / Buildings and monuments in photos.

Habemus Papam.

We look forward for some different aproaches, that would give a higher meaning to this expression.
Igreja / Church

Habemus Papam.

Grandes pensamentos, em poucas palavras.
E uma foto sugestiva....

Habemus Papam. This will have been the most awaited expression, by all Catholics, in this last week.
The announcement to the world that a successor for Pope Benedict XVI, would have been chosen.
And finally, yesterday, white smoke appeared at the Vatican.

It was a surprise, the attitude of the new Pope, to bow to the world, asking for his blessing, by placing himself at the same level of any other citizen, even before he give his blessing to the world.

This identification with their similar, might be understood as a bigger sign of proximity, between the highest representative of the Catholic Church, towards the world and its current problems.

We hope that the interreligious dialogue will be further developed, and that there will be a greater openness of the Church, in its relation with the world, when addressing issues related to hunger, AIDS, war, pedophilia...

We expect that tolerance would be promoted, and that would be remembered, more often, the precarious situation of many men, women and children, from less developed countries.

We look forward to be able to see, some more different aproaches, that would give a higher meaning to the expression...Habemus Papam.

Few words.
Great thoughts.
And a suggestive photo...
