Flores do Campo / Wildflowers (#2)

Pinturas de flores. / Flower paintings.

Já com algum atraso, termino hoje a apresentação desta minha pintura. Trata-se de uma pintura a óleo e tinta acrílica, em tela, e que acabou por ser um presente de aniversário para a minha amiga de sempre, Cris... I know you liked it...

Símbolo de liberdade e de resistência na adversidade, as flores do campo têm uma beleza única, e contudo frágil.

 

Definhando rapidamente depois de colhidas, resistem no entanto, às condições mais duras que, por vezes, a Natureza lhes proporciona.

 

Por tal razão, a sua verdadeira essência apenas poderá ser imortalizada através de alguma forma de arte, como a pintura, a fotografia, ou através da sensibilidade e delicadeza das palavras de poetas e escritores.

 

As flores do campo, são elas próprias uma obra de arte, que a Natureza, sempre que lhe é permitido, coloca no nosso caminho... talvez para nos lembrar que devemos conservar a nossa delicadeza, ainda que inseridos num mundo cada vez mais insensível e duro à nossa volta.

 

O misto de força, beleza e delicadeza, faz das flores um tema fascinante, e recorrente, nas minhas pinturas e fotos, que por aqui irei deixando no blogue.

Oil and acrylic painting on canvas.

Light effects, due to  the use of acrylic paints in the colors Gold and Antique Gold.

Painting relief, due to the use of 3D acrylic paint.

Finishing with a light coat of transparent glossy varnish.

Size: 6,89x11,81x1,18 inches.

 

With some delay, already, I finish today the presentation of this painting of mine. It is an oil and acrylic painting, on canvas, that turned out to be a birthday gift, to my ever friend, Cris... I know you liked it...

To me, the wildflowers are a symbol of freedom and strength in adversity. They have a unique beauty... and however fragile one.

Withering very quickly after being picked, nevertheless, they resist to the tougher conditions, that Nature has to offer them, sometimes.

For such a reason, their true essence, can only be immortalized through some form of art, like painting, photography, or through the sensitivity and gentleness from the words of poets and writers.

The wildflowers are themselves, an artwork, that Nature, where it is allowed, puts in our way... perhaps to remind us that we must keep our delicacy, even if we are in a increasingly insensitive and hard world, around us.

The mix of strength, beauty and delicacy of flowers, makes of them a fascinating and recurring theme, on my paintings and photos, which I will leave here on the blog.
