A maior onda de sempre / The biggest wave ever

Foi no passado dia 28 de Janeiro, que o surfista norte-americano, Garret McNamara, revalidou o seu próprio Record Mundial, o primeiro havia sido conseguido em Novembro de 2011, desta vez com uma onda, com mais de 30 metros de altura, no mesmo local. Na Praia do Norte, situada na Nazaré, em Portugal.

Felizmente, esse momento, foi magistralmente captado, por um fotógrafo português, cuja foto foi um fenómeno viral na Net, pela imponência e beleza assustadora de tamanha massa de água, a que se associou a perícia do surfista norte-americano.

Só um grande talento, e uma grande coragem, conseguiriam estar à altura de tal onda.

E os olhos do mundo, voltaram-se para Portugal... Uma vez mais...

Esta onda, que vos mostro, não pode ser comparada, de todo, com essa onda enorme, que meio mundo teve oportunidade de assistir, em diversos vídeos, e fotos, nos mais variados meios de comunicação.

É apenas mais uma onda, num outro local, próximo de Ribeira de Ilhas, também muito conhecido nos circuitos internacionais de surf, que documenta a beleza e rebeldia do mar, da costa portuguesa, ideal para a prática de surf, em certas alturas do ano.

Em Portugal, costumamos dizer que:

Nem duas, sem três...

It was on the last January 28th, that the North American surfer Garret McNamara, revalidated his own World Record.

The first one was achieved in November of 2011.

This time, with a wave over 30 feet high, at the same location.

In Praia do Norte, located in Nazareth.

Fortunately, that moment, was masterfully captured by a Portuguese photographer, whose photo was a viral phenomenon on the Internet, by the grandeur and terrifying beauty of such great mass of water, combined with the skill of the North American surfer.

Only a great talent and a great courage, could match with such a wave.

And the world's eyes turned to Portugal...

Once again...

This wave that I show you, can not be compared, at all, with that huge wave, which half the world had the opportunity to see, in several videos and photos, by the media.

It's just another wave, in a location near Ribeira de Ilhas, also well known by the international surf competitions circuit, showing the beauty and defiance of the waves, on the Portuguese coast.

Ideal for surfing, at certain times of the year.

Here, in Portugal, we usually say, that:

There isn't one, without two...

Neither two, without three...
