Separados... mas unidos, por uma causa maior!... Assim enfrentámos a primeira vaga desta epidemia, que assolou o nosso país... e o mundo... conseguindo limitar ao mínimo, o número de vitimas!
Foi um orgulho imenso, apreciar o sentido de Estado dos nossos governantes, demais partidos da oposição, espírito de sacrifício de todos os profissionais de saúde, assim como o de todos os restantes, que nas mais diversas áreas, não deixaram o país parar por completo, assegurando serviços e bens essenciais.
Tendo sido igualmente extraordinário, poder assistir à manifestação do ancestral espírito de sabedoria colectiva, da nossa gente, que sempre se revela e nos une, em situações absolutamente cruciais, e que mais uma vez foi demonstrado, pela grande maioria dos portugueses, ao acatar sem grande contestação, as orientações que lhe têm sido transmitidas...

Agora que as primeiras medidas se tomam, para reabrir a economia, e se aligeira a contenção social... mesmo que tenhamos que retomar as medidas de confinamento anteriores... se tudo correr mal... continua sendo da convicção geral, de que tudo continuará a ser feito, apostando-se na responsabilidade, e no bom senso, ausente de populismos e demagogias... visando a melhor solução possível, para esta nossa nação valente... unida... e imortal!
Mais do que nunca... todos precisamos de todos!

Separated... but united by a higher cause!... That's how we faced the first wave of this epidemic, which has struck our country... and the world... managing to limit the number of victims to a minimum!
It was an immense pride to appreciate the sensible action of our governing, of other opposition parties, as well the spirit of sacrifice of all health professionals, and of all the others, who in the most diverse areas, didn't leave the country completely stop, ensuring essential goods and services.
It has been equally extraordinary, being able to witness the manifestation of the ancestral spirit of collective wisdom, of our people, which always reveals itself and unites us, in absolutely crucial situations, and which once again was demonstrated, by the great majority of Portuguese, by accepting without great contestation, the guidelines that have been transmitted to them...
Now that the first steps are being taken, to reopen the economy, and social restraint is eased... even if we have to go back to the previous containment measures... if everything goes wrong... it remains the general belief that everything will continue to be done, betting on responsibility, and common sense, absent from populism and demagogies... aiming for the best possible solution, for this brave nation of ours... united... and immortal!
More than ever... we all need everyone!
