Algo que a humanidade procura, desde o início da civilização.

Um lugar, que cada pessoa ambiciona atingir, e que lhe permita conseguir o seu próprio espaço de afirmação, progresso e aceitação perante os demais...
Um lugar no qual, cada indivíduo, tenha a possibilidade de desenvolver as suas próprias ideias, obras e conquistas pessoais.
Como chegar até lá, é que deverá merecer a reflexão de cada um de nós...
Pela via mais curta, passando por cima de tudo e de todos, sem escrúpulos, nem regras...
Ou, tentar chegar, por etapas, ultrapassando os sucessivos obstáculos e incertezas, que se atravessam no nosso caminho, com esforço e perseverança, de uma força digna, respeitando os outros, mas cima de tudo, respeitando-nos a nós mesmos, e permanecendo fiéis aos nossos valores...
É na diferença, entre a expectativa de tantos, de conquistar um tal lugar, e a efectiva possibilidade de o conseguir, que, infelizmente, não estará ao alcance de todos, que reside a Esperança, fonte de luz, coragem e motivação para seguir em frente... e continuar a tentar conseguir...

Winning a place at the sun...
That is what inspired me to paint this picture.
Something that mankind has been looking for, since the beginning of civilization.
A place where every person aims to reach, and where they are allowed to have their own space of affirmation, progress an acceptance toward others...
A place in which every individual has the opportunity to develop his own ideas, works and personal conquests.
The way to get there, should remain to the consideration of each of us.
We can go by the shortest way, running over everyone and everything, without rules, nor regrets...
Or, trying to get there, step by step, through all the problems and uncertainties, which stand in our way, with effort, persistence and dignity, respecting others, but above all, respecting ourselves, and remaining faithful to our values.
It's on the difference between the expectation of so many, to conquer such a place, and the real possibility of achieving it, which unfortunately won't be within reach of all, that lies Hope. As a source of light, courage and motivation to move on and keep trying to reach such a place...
